IT and Cyber Security

In a modern, technologically advanced and digitalised industrialised country such as Germany, security and the ability of government, industry and society to act depend largely on the functioning of digital processes and infrastructures. For years now, we have seen an increase in the number of cyber attacks by foreign government and non-government actors.
One of the Federal Government’s key tasks is to ensure the security of our country, society and people. Citizens rightly expect their government to protect the country against digital threats. Within the Federal Government, the responsibility for cyber security lies with the Federal Ministry of the Interior and Community (BMI).
